Multiple online stores are off to a great start with their Black Friday sales, and one that has just caught my eye is the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i gaming laptop, which is now available for $649.99 (previously $1,099.99) at Best Buy – this saves you $450, thanks to a 41% discount.
UK deal hunters, you're not left out – the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i is also available for £679.01 (previously £980) on Lenovo's online store, saving you £300.99.

This gaming laptop is more than capable of providing good performance when gaming at 1080p, using Nvidia's RTX 5050 laptop GPU – and while 8GB of VRAM might not seem the highest in 2025, there are plenty of tools that can be utilized for high frame rates, such as DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, allowing this laptop to punch well above its weight.
The specs are ideal for games such as Roblox and Fortnite, which aren't graphically demanding, but still benefit from fast and fluid gameplay, which, combined with the low price, also means the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i a great choice for a kid's first gaming laptop.

Today's best Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i Black Friday deal in the US
Save 41% (US$450)Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i RTX 5050: was US$1,099.99 now US$649.99 at Best BuyDisplay - 15.6 inchesProcessor - Intel Core i5GPU - Nvidia RTX 5050RAM - 16GBStorage - 512GB

Using Nvidia's RTX 5050 laptop GPU and Intel's Core i5-13450HX processor, the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i is a great pick for any gamer on a budget. It won't get you the best gaming performance for sure, but with a 1080p display resolution, and using reasonable graphics settings, there's plenty of room for high frame rates in popular games, especially when using DLSS 4.View DealToday's best Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i Black Friday deal in the UK
Save 31% (£300.99)Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i RTX 5050: was £980 now £679.01 at lenovo.comDisplay - 15.6 inchesProcessor - Intel Core i5GPU - Nvidia RTX 5050RAM - 16GBStorage - 1TB

Nvidia's RTX 5050 is the driving force of the Lenovo LOQ Essential 15i, with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM to ensure gaming at 1080p is great, which is further enhanced using DLSS 4 super resolution or Multi Frame Generation. At £679.01, it is simply a steal this Black Friday.View DealAgain, the RTX 5050 laptop GPU isn't going to get you the best gaming performance and is weaker than the likes of an RTX 5060 Ti. However, both of these deals arguably have better value than stronger laptop models that cost $1,000 or more.
At just $649.99 or £679.01, you're getting your hands on a gaming machine that is more than capable of gaming at the common 1080p resolution, and performance is further improved when utilizing DLSS 4 upscaling technology – and frankly, the image quality on almost all super resolution modes (except for 'ultra performance') is great, so there's not much to complain about.
Don't miss out while you have the chance!
