Robert Sugden’s determined (Picture: ITV)
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) is a man with a plan – get prison-hubbie Kev (Christopher Coghill) out of the way for good so he can live happily ever after with his true love, Emmerdale’s one and only Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). Unfortunately, that plan is falling to pieces in front of his eyes.
Continuing to play the doting husband, Robert tries to subtly glean where his jailbird beau stashed the loot from the robbery. Kev is tight-lipped, leaving Robert with the distinct impression that he smells a rat. Thwarted, Robert meets Aaron to break the bad news. Will they ever get their hands on Kev’s fill-gotten gains?
Meanwhile, Kev’s on a mission of his own when he threatens the Dales’ resident GP Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson) into backing up his lie to Robert and pretend his fake ‘terminal heart condition’ was a misdiagnosis.
Because Kev isn’t exactly the kind of man you say no to, Liam’s quick to agree to a spot of medical malpractice.

But later, Robert and Aaron rope a reluctant Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) into their grand scheme, only for a suspicious Liam to interrupt their little tete-a-tete. While they’re bringing Liam up to speed, the trio soon deduce that the not-so-good doctor is holding something back. Cracking under pressure, Liam drops the bombshell: Kev was never terminally ill. Jaws – meet floor!
Reeling from Liam’s revelation, Aaron and Robert decide to stick with their plan: get Kev out of their lives for good. With a bad feeling about this, Chas and Liam allow the star-crossed lovers to follow through with their mission.
