Former WWE star Paul Wight appeared during the "Full Gear 2025" pre-show to serve as a guest commentator. Wight made his entrance prior to a tag team match between Boom and Doom and RPG Vice.

Wight, who was known as the Big Show during his time with WWE, hadn't made an appearance on AEW TV since late 2024, which was also for "Full Gear." Back in May, Wight told Bill Apter that not only was he still a part of the AEW team, but he was also quite happy about it.

Paul Wight's Exit From WWE
The last time Wight was seen on WWE TV was during the Jan. 4, 2021 episode of "Monday Night Raw." The following month, Wight signed with AEW after parting ways with WWE. He reportedly had financial and creative differences with the company he called his professional wrestling home since 1999. Wight joined Tony Schiavone as a commentator on "AEW Dark: Elevation." Wight has had six total matches with AEW.
His most recent match took place on the 2024 Jericho Cruise. Wight teamed with Chris Jericho and "Speedball" Mike Bailey to defeat Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Lance Archer. A few months later, Wight announced that he had both knees and hips replaced.
There's currently no word on whether or not AEW has more in store for Wight in terms of commentary duties beyond "Full Gear 2025."
