The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a 33-16 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, but the story from the game was wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens being forced to sit for the first offensive series.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones revealed Pickens missed the team bus before being disciplined by head coach Brian Schottenheimer. "He's not going to play favorites with anybody," Jones said. "He felt very strongly [about] that, that was part of it. I think a lot of people thought they had to be together because they are great friends, but believe it or not, one was of the night before leading into the morning and the other one was missing the buses."
Neither wide receiver is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the same can't be said for a former first-round pick.

Dallas made the somewhat surprising decision to cut corner Kaiir Elam, who just lost his starting job.
"Acquired by the Cowboys via trade with the Bills this past offseason, Elam had a strong training camp in Oxnard that led to a starting role in Week 1 against the Eagles," the Cowboys said in a post. "But with the return of Caelen Carson and the debut of Shavon Revel, Elam became the odd man out before the rematch with the Eagles this coming Sunday — having lost his starting role in Week 11 to Carson."
The Cowboys traded a fifth and seventh-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Elam, a former first-round pick, and a sixth-round pick.
