Arman Tsarukyan returns to the Octagon in a huge lightweight main event at UFC’s first-ever show in Doha, Qatar, headlining the card on November 22. Ranked No. 1 in the division, Tsarukyan (22–3) comes in with serious momentum. He’s widely regarded as a top contender, and he’s made it clear he’s gunning not just for a win but for a shot at the title.He’s well balanced: elite wrestling, solid grappling, and increasingly dangerous standing striking. In his own words, he believes he’s “a complete fighter” now, someone who can dominate on the ground or mix it up on the feet.
Across from him is veteran brawler Dan Hooker, who brings a rugged, all-around style and something to prove. Hooker, now 35, is riding a three-fight win streak and is determined to force his way into a title picture that has eluded him so far.He has the height and reach advantage and throws dangerous combinations, notably mixing in knees and heavy strikes.But while Hooker’s striking power is no joke, as many of his wins have come via Knockout. The big question is whether he can neutralize Tsarukyan’s wrestling and top control.
