Lood de Jager and Franco Mostert each received red cards in victories over France and Italy respectively – De Jager has a four-game ban for his high tackle on Thomas Ramos – but coach Mzwandile Stick believes the Springboks' treatment isn't right. "Are we treated fairly?" he asked reporters this week. "I don't think so." The Boks keep grinding out results on their northern hemisphere tour and their eyes have firmly been on the Dublin clash with a score to settle, especially after defeat in the 2023 World Cup pool stage denied the world champions an unbeaten title. Eben Etzebeth should return to a formidable pack led by captain Siya Kolisi.

Ireland coach Simon Easterby has spoken of the "healthy rivalry" between the sides but all bets will be off when it comes to kickoff on Saturday evening in Dublin.
