Over the past few years I’ve had one clear favorite gadget: the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and right now you can get a pair for their lowest ever price. If you’re after the cheapest possible option, the pair with clear lenses is down to $238.99 at Amazon (from $299), but I’d recommend you snatch up a transitions pair for $303.20 – down from $379.

Why opt for the pricier glasses? Clear lenses are only suitable in medium or low light conditions, while permanently dark or polarized lenses only suit bright and sunny weather. Transitions glasses can be used whenever you need them – except in a heavy rainstorm or dust storm as the smart specs are only IPX4 rated.

But if I were you, I'd splash out and get a transitions pair for $303.20. You're still saving over $70 and get smart glasses you can wear all day long.

Save 20%Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses: was £299 now £239 at CurrysThose of you after the absolute best deal will appreciate the very low price of the cheapest Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, but as I've said above I'd shell out for the pricier transitions. Currys has them for just £303 which saves you £76.
View DealThe Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 glasses might have recently been replaced by a new and improved Gen 2 pair, but the originals are still a solid option – with them only getting more appealing thanks to this discount.
Beyond being a trendy pair of sunglasses, these smart specs boast a few technological advantages.
For a start they offer open-ear speakers so you can listen to your music, plus their in-built cameras are ideal for snapping first-person video – the picture quality is fine, but I find for photos my phone is usually a better option. The mics they have installed are great too which is perfect for talking on calls, or recording audio for your clips.
Then there’s their AI abilities.
I travel a fair amount and I use the Meta AI so much to help me translate signs quickly, ask questions about landmarks, and just to answer more mundane questions that pop into my head. A lot of this is helped by their ‘Look and Ask’ feature which allows the specs to snap a photo that informs your query.
Greater than the sum of its parts, the specs are overall a fantastic piece of kit – even when they’re out of charge you still have some useful and trendy shades.
I gave them four stars in my Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses review, and that was when they were full-price. At 20% off these glasses are an undeniable treat – so please grab a pair while you can.
