The Raiders enter the game at 2–9, still searching for any kind of offensive spark after a disappointing season so far. Their offense has struggled mightily, averaging just about 15.0 points per game this season, with passing and rushing numbers well below league-average. With their interim offensive play-caller now in place and hopes pinned on improved execution, the Raiders will rely heavily on their defense, especially pressure from edge rusher Maxx Crosby, to force turnovers and keep the game close.
The Chargers come in at 7–4, coming off a bye week and looking to keep their playoff push alive. Their offense, led by quarterback Justin Herbert and playmakers such as Keenan Allen and their backfield, has averaged about 22.4 points per game this season. On defense, Los Angeles has been opportunistic, generating sacks and turnovers at home, which could spell trouble for a Raiders offense already beset by inconsistency and poor protection.
