Sanders was drafted in the fifth round out of Colorado, where he played for his father, NFL legend Deion Sanders. Many were surprised he slid that far in the draft, as most big boards projected him as a first-round talent.
After spending time behind Joe Flacco and then Dillon Gabriel, Sanders finally got his opportunity. And during the first half on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, he delivered — making a perfect read to tight end Harold Fannin Jr. for a 34-yard touchdown, the second TD pass of his career, keeping Cleveland firmly in the game at halftime.

Shortly after Sanders’ touchdown pass, he received a strong message of support on social media from Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who made sure to acknowledge the play.
“Helluva read and pass, 12!” James posted on X. “Keep going!”
...Sanders is expected to get a fair opportunity over the final six games of the season to prove why he could potentially become the franchise quarterback in Cleveland.
It’s a city James knows well, having been drafted there by the Cavaliers in 2003 and making an immediate impact as a rookie before leaving for the Miami Heat, then ultimately returning and delivering Cleveland its first NBA championship in 2016.
